Faced with the emergency, the FFF has organized a broadcast plan for the 7th day of the French Cup which is celebrated this weekend with the entry into the competition of Ligue 2 clubs. The National Cup is pending a television contract since the breach last spring of the call for broadcasting rights of the contest.
The France TV-Eurosport duo, the body’s regular television partner, responded to the query for the next four seasons, but only offering around €15 million a year, far from the €21 million a year in the previous contract. Not surprisingly, the county executive of the FFF declared the tender “unsuccessful”. And since then, the situation has remained deadlocked, although discussions with France TV and Eurosport have to resume to find a solution.

Meanwhile, according to our information gathered at Sportel, the international sports and media gathering held in Monaco, the French Federation has decided to produce and program five matches live on its FFF TV site to allow exposure: AS Saint-Etienne (L2). )-Rodez AF (L2); Orvault Sport (R1)-Stade Lavallois (L2); Valenciennes (L2)-Red Star (N); FC Chambly (N2)-Amiens SC (L2) and US Saint-Malo (N2)-SM Caen (L2).
In addition, the FFF allows leagues and clubs to produce and broadcast their matches on their digital platforms, which will especially be the case for Stade Bordelais-Girondins de Bordeaux on the Girondins’ official channel.
The Federation has also decided to grant exceptional authorization to the overseas regional branches of France Télévisions to produce and broadcast live the regional finals taking place in Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyana and Reunion, as well as for the three matches in mainland France teams from Mayotte, Polynesia and New Caledonia.
