No meals in the Val Chevrier room Roc-Saint-André (Morbihan) led by the Ragalous.
This 2022 edition of the Foulées roxédoises that will take place on November 26, 2022 is marked by this great innovation.
Precisely, the members of the association, who are setting up the event from the spring, had foreseen a possible return of the Covid: “Not wanting to skip the meal, we imagined this meal to take away”, indicates the association president Daniel Lucas.
Breast cancer and rare diseases
This 32nd edition of the Foulées and 20th pedestrian walk receives the recipe for its success for years: running and walking for a good cause.
After giving support 170 cases over 23 years, the 180 volunteers are mobilized this year in favor of medical research on breast cancer in the center Eugène Marquis de Rennes. The profits will make it possible to offer music therapy, as Dr. Sophie Guillermet explains: “We would like to invest in audio headsets and virtual reality headsets for minor surgery under local anesthesia. »
Daniel Lucas recalls: “Many patients from the Ploërmel region enter the Eugène Marquis center every year. »
The second supported cause is for a rare disease : Wolfram syndrome.
“A rare genetic disease that affects children who are born healthy before various neurodegenerative clinical manifestations appear throughout their lives. »
Therefore, a large mobilization is expected to support these two causes. Saturday November 26.
Run and walk
Enthusiasts of the ride they can start the 9 and 13 km from 1 pm from the Val Chevrier hall with free entry until 4 pm.
The free benjamí-poussin race of 1.6 km will start at 2.45 pm and the women’s race (free) at 3.30 pm for a loop of 4.2 km.
The 11.7 km cadet, junior, senior and veteran race will start at 3.30 pm (€8 pre-registration – €9 on site).
At the end of the walk and the different races, a drawing will allow sixty prizes to be up for grabs from 5.30 pm for those present at the Roxédoise sports hall.
Food to take away (ham on the bone, gratin dauphinois, cheese, apple pie): €12. Book before November 22 at 06 76 57 59 80 or at the two bakeries in the Val d’Oust. Withdrawal of meals on November 26, 2022 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Race registration: 02 97 74 84 31 or at Kliké.
