The parents’ association (APEL) of the Saint-Pierre de Pleurtuit school is at the starting blocks ten days before the event.

Sunday, October 16, 2022these parents of motivated students will organize the whole first edition of Run in Pleurtuit.

A walk, a 10 km race and a children’s race

A sporting challenge that will offer a 12 km walk to discover the banks of the Rance from the village of Pleurtuit to the tip of Cancaval at 9:30 am.. Then, for sports and running fans, a timed and measured 10 km course (from 16 years), at 10.30 am.. And finally, for the younger ones, a children’s route from 500 meters to 1 km, depending on the age of the child, from 11:30 a.m..

A challenge born to bring families together

The idea of ​​this sports challenge was born after the confinement, when we were looking for ways to bring families together.

From here to thinking about running, there was only one step, taken spontaneously by the undersecretary, Géraldine Fourneau, or by Thomas Lisnard, one of the members of the office: both practice running. “It is true that promoting sport to children is a goal, confirms Géraldine, but our main motivation is to recreate the bond. »

Hence the desire to open this 1st Career in Pleurtuit to everyone.

Call for volunteers

A call for volunteers is also open: the 17 parents of students in the association will not be enough for the 75 places defined to make signage, signage and supervision of the course, security, catering, refreshments…

In terms of registrations, procedures, prices, bibs, timetables, results, APEL has partnered with the specialist Vincent Labat, whose site NextRun.fr is a reference for nature races and other sporting events.
