Since its launch in 2017, the TBZ route de Baziège has earned a chosen place in the running calendar of the Lauragais. This year, therefore, it is ready 900 runners which is expected on Sunday, November 6, 2022 in one of the three circuits drawn by the city.
Two events dedicated to walkers (Trek i Nordic walking) as well as children’s races will also be on the show. In total, the bar of 1,000 attendees therefore it should be crossed during this meeting organized by theVoluntary Gymnastics Association of Baziège.
“Pretty rolling circuits”
On the race side, three routes (8.5 km, 14.6 km i 20.4 km) await trail runners. “The routes were modified very slightly at the request of Sicoval regarding the Zac du Rivel project”, he specifies. We are approximately 60% on roads and 40% on asphalt. These are circuits that are generally quite rolling. We are in the Lauragais, so it is hilly but not too much.
Thus, the three plots offer a positive elevation which varies from 150 meters for the little ones until 350 meters for the longest.
A team event as the main novelty
This 2022 edition of the TBZ trail will also mark the appearance of a great novelty: the organization of a duo challenge.
The idea was to also do a team race. Two people who will participate in the 8 km and 14 km will have the possibility to register in parallel with their individual race in this duo Challenge. Then the times of each will be added to establish the classification of this test. We already have many mixed teams that have signed up.
There are already many subscribers
Fifteen days before registration closed, nearly 600 people were already registered in all categories. “We have a limit of 900 runners, or 300 per circuit. And 1,300 participants, all events included. We expect to be sold out given the rate at which registrations are going”, Joan Grenet is satisfied, remembering that one euro will be deducted from each registration to be able to pay a check to the association. For the race, registration is possible through the Chronostart platform until the day before. to walk (8.2 km) and events dedicated to children (300 m, 650 m i 1 km), you can register on the same day from 7.30am. Bibs will be handed out on Sunday morning before the start of the race but also on Saturday 5 November during two events organized under the Baziège hall (9pm to 12am). pm) and at the R.Running store in Balma (2.00 pm to 6.00 pm).

Children’s activities (300m, 650m and 1km – free): start at 11am.
