Release of French-Australian hostage in Chad
The French-Australian hostage kidnapped in Chad on Friday in a province in the east of the country, bordering Sudan, has been released and is in “good health”, the Chadian prime minister announced in a tweet on Sunday.
“I have just heard that the kidnapped French-Australian hostage (…) has just been found and taken to a safe place, in good health,” declared Chadian Prime Minister Saleh Kebzabo, congratulating “the forces of defense and security for this quick and successful action.”

Exports of grain from Ukraine’s ports are once again “impossible” due to the Russian blockade, a day after Moscow suspended an agreement on its delivery, Ukraine’s infrastructure minister said on Sunday.
According to Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov, a ship loaded with 40 tons of grain should have left Ukraine for Ethiopia on Sunday, “but due to Russia’s blockade of the grain corridor, exports are impossible,” he said on Twitter.
